What are Internet Cookies and What it do?

We are visiting many sites of different types in a day. ex. News, Food, Technology, Shopping etc. We are visiting those sites for shopping, for gaming, for songs,  for new technology or gadgets etc. Then sometimes you saw that some of the websites are asking permission for cookies or usually you also heard about cookies So In this post, we talk about what is Cookies, how it's work and it's effect. 

What are cookies:-

Internet Cookies is also known as Http Cookies, web Cookies, browser Cookies etc. It is a small piece of data sent from a website to our computer while we are browsing or it is little documents containing helpful information about your log-in information or about your browsing.

Advantage:-

In reality, a cookie is implanted by any website which you browse to improve their services. for ex. if you visit any shopping site and you search shoes when next time if you visit that site then it will show you the best result of shoes.

It is also helpful for advertisers. sometimes you see that when you visit some sites and they show that ad which is recommended for you. the shoes which you add in your cart from a shopping website then the advertiser also shows that same shoe in their advertising. So it also helpful for advertisers.
It is helpful for saving your Log-in information in any websites. If you visit any website which is cookie enable and you Log-in that site and does not click the check box "keep me Log-in" but when next time you visit that site again it shows your Log-in ID, It saves your Log-in information so that you get your Log-in Information.

Disadvantage:-

The main problem of cookies is about our privacy. Cookies are not encrypted so if anyone steals cookies from your browser or any third party cookie use your information. When any trusted website implant cookie, the browsing information of this website is saved in their cookie. but the main concern with third party cookie. when you accept any third party cookie then it may steal your other cookies which implanted by other sites or it may use your information. Whenever you visit malicious site you saw that, you click any place then it shows pop ads or automatically opens many windows so they can implant a malicious cookie in your PC and steal your information.

If you visit any malicious site so it is very dangerous. They can steal your Log-in Information. They can steal your Debit card or Credit card detail So be careful.
